OUR TAIL

Hello and thank you for visiting our site! If you love your animals as much as we do, this website is for you. We opened "Tails by the Bay" in April 1999 in beautiful downtown Sausalito, California. We then moved our location to gorgeous Lake Tahoe in September of 2003. We are now in the mecca for dogs - some of the best hiking & swimming you can imagine for your pups. We are currently located at the base of Squaw Valley Ski Resort. Our name has changed (Tails by the Lake) but not our passion for animals or our desire to find the most interesting & unique items for them.

Our two kids (Utah the Chesapeake & Leo the Chow/Lab) were both invaluable with their guidance in helping us choose which snacks, toys, and accessories would best suit their canine and feline friends. Unfortunately, due to several "sampling" sessions, both dogs are in dire need of long hikes. So off we go on another adventure with the two most loyal and loving friends we have.

P.S. Since not all dogs & cats are as lucky as Utah & Leo, we donate a portion of our profits to agencies who strive to help those less fortunate animals.
